Aimee is a born and bred Southlander, having grown up in Bluff. Aimee is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian. She studied for over 6 years completing a Master of Science (awarded with distinction in Human Nutrition) in 2007. Aimee was awarded the Sport and Exercise Science NZ “Best Emerging Sport and Exercise Scientist” in 2007 for her work on her Masters. She has a wealth of experience working in Sports Nutrition, both in Canterbury and Southland, from Junior to Elite and Masters levels.
Aimee has spent much of her career working as a contractor with Sports Teams. She also has experience working as a Clinical Dietitian and in Private Practice. "My passion lies in Sports Nutrition and working with developing athletes. You may have natural talent, but just like you need to train talent to perform, you need to fuel it to perform…Performance Nutrition making talented athletes champions."
Whether you are a Weekend Warrior, a High Performance Athlete or someone who is trying to get active and improve fitness, Performance Nutrition is the key to your journey. Performance Nutrition improves your energy levels, mood, immunity, recovery and longevity in your sport and activity goals.
"My philosophy is about nailing the basics and doing these well. I believe in loving food and appreciating what it does for our performance and health...nutrition is not about what you do occasionally, nor is it restrictive or controlled, rather balanced - MODERATION."
Aimee loves to be active. She enjoys running, walking, and biking with the kids and exploring the outdoors with family and friends. Before becoming a mum, Aimee competed in both Road and Track Cycling at a regional level for 6 years.
